Walking Football Tauranga

Walking Football is a unique small-sided ball game created by John Croot in 2011.

In many ways walking football is just like playing football in the good ole' days. All the experience and knowledge you have will come back. It's a great way to keep active for anyone wanting something a bit different!

What's the difference to football?

As the name suggests, only walking (as opposed to running) is allowed in this unique game, this includes while you are on the ball and off the ball. Additionally it is a complete non-contact sport, however tackling is allowed so long as it stays non-contact.

Benefits

There are many benefits for those wanting to keep fit later in life:

  • Slow pace
  • Non-contact
  • Low impact
  • Keep fit and active
  • Reduced risk of injury
