Wanted! Female, junior and youth football development officer
The Tauranga Blue Rovers are looking for an experienced, part-time Football Development Officer to support our Director of Football in our female, junior and youth spaces.
What you'll be doing
- Working with our Committee, Director of Football, Girls and Women's Coordinators to strengthen our girls and women's programmes.
- Working directly with female youth players in a coaching and mentorship role to help them develop in all four corners (mental, social/emotional, technical/tactical, physical) and reach their full potential.
- Supporting our volunteer coaches to deliver high-quality football training sessions to junior and youth teams.
- Delivering training sessions directly to junior and youth teams.
What we're looking for
- Experience as football coach, preferably with junior and youth teams.
- Experience working with female football players.
- Experience delivering the New Zealand Football Whole of Football Plan.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with players, parents and the club.
- Ability to motivate and inspire players.
- NZF Junior Level 3 (desirable) and NZF C-Licence (desirable)
- The legal right to work in New Zealand.
- Someone who currently resides in New Zealand.
Contract length and hours of work
Hours are approximately 16.5 hours per week made up of working with coaches and teams on weekdays at Pemberton Park or Morland Fox Park from 4pm, and helping to deliver Saturday football at our home grounds of Pemberton Park between 8am and 12pm.
The role is initially a fixed-term contract until September 2025.

The Tauranga Blue Rovers Football Club was formed in 1971 and now has around 700 players in winter football with the club and 1800 players involved in our football programmes throughout the year. We train and play at Pemberton Park on Fraser Street, Morland Fox Park on Devon Street and Te Wati Park in Maungatapu. The majority of our players are from our local area: Greerton, Oropi, Pyes Pa, The Lakes, Tauriko and Central Tauranga.
